I have been inspired to be in the "helping field" for as long as I can remember. So, when figuring out what direction I would take after college, going to grad school to fulfill my dream and become a therapist was an easy decision. A decision that I have never doubted. I have always been intrigued by people's stories, their lives and their struggles. Showing up during the most difficult times in people's lives is where I feel grounded. I was born to do this work, I truly believe that! I feel honored to be a part of my clients most intimate healing work and love supporting them as they re-connect to their most authentic selves.
I have worked in many different settings from non-profit, to treatment centers in all levels of care and now private practice. I have worked with clients of all ages, cultures and diversities. I have the most experience with adolescents and consider TAY some of my most favorite clients! I have also run psychoeducational groups and process and support groups and really believe in the group healing process. I have been able to use my personal adversities to understand certain struggles and trauma in a way that is only learned through lived experience. I have used this to enhance my ability to understand and connect to my clients in a profound way.
I am a native of San Diego and have lived abroad yet still consider California the best place in the world to live. I raised 3 beautiful children here who are now adults and off living their lives. I am an empty nester who enjoys hiking with my pup Mango, traveling the country and the world and grounding when home with a daily yoga and meditation practice. I live intentionally and to the fullest and love helping my clients do the same. May we all experience healing and peace on this Journey that we are on!
